Wellblechpalast is a multi-purpose stadium located in Berlin, Germany. It is primarily used for ice hockey and is the home stadium of the Eisbären Berlin. The stadium has a capacity of 4,695 spectators and was opened in 1986. The name Wellblechpalast translates to "Corrugated Iron Palace" in English, referring to the distinctive corrugated iron structure of the building.

The Wellblechpalast was built in 1986 as a replacement for the older Sportforum Hohenschönhausen, which was no longer suitable for professional ice hockey. The new stadium was designed with a distinctive corrugated iron structure, which led to its nickname, the "Corrugated Iron Palace".

Eisbären Berlin[edit | edit source]

The main tenant of the Wellblechpalast is the Eisbären Berlin, one of the most successful ice hockey teams in Germany. The Eisbären have won the German championship seven times, with many of these victories taking place at the Wellblechpalast. The stadium has become synonymous with the team and is a significant part of their identity.
