William C. Roberts is a renowned cardiologist and pathologist known for his significant contributions to the field of cardiovascular disease. He is the current editor of the American Journal of Cardiology and the Baylor University Medical Center Proceedings.

Roberts was born in Kentucky, United States. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky and later pursued his medical degree from the University of Louisville. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital and his fellowship in cardiology at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI).

He has served as the Chief of the Pathology Branch of the NHLBI and the Chief of the Cardiovascular Pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. He is currently the editor of the American Journal of Cardiology and the Baylor University Medical Center Proceedings.

Roberts' research primarily focuses on the understanding and treatment of cardiovascular disease. He has published over 1,500 articles in peer-reviewed medical journals and has authored or co-authored several books on cardiology and pathology.
