Wong Fei-hung
Wong Fei-hung (9 July 1847 – 25 March 1924) was a Chinese martial artist, physician, and folk hero who has become a legendary figure in Chinese culture. He is considered one of the most influential practitioners of Hung Ga, a style of Southern Chinese martial arts. Wong Fei-hung's life and exploits have been dramatized in numerous films and television series, making him a cultural icon.

Wong Fei-hung was born in Foshan, Guangdong Province, during the late Qing Dynasty. His father, Wong Kei-ying, was a renowned martial artist and one of the Ten Tigers of Canton. Wong Fei-hung began learning martial arts from his father at a young age and quickly showed exceptional talent.
Martial Arts Career[edit | edit source]
Wong Fei-hung is best known for his mastery of Hung Ga, a traditional Southern Chinese martial art. He is credited with developing and refining many techniques within the style, including the famous "Tiger Crane Paired Form Fist" (虎鶴雙形拳). Wong also incorporated elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine into his training regimen, emphasizing the importance of health and wellness.

Wong Fei-hung trained many students who went on to become famous martial artists in their own right. Some of his most notable students include Lam Sai-wing, Leung Foon, and Tang Fung.

He operated a medical clinic called Po Chi Lam (寶芝林) in Foshan, where he treated patients using traditional Chinese medicine techniques.
