Yumbe General Hospital
Yumbe General Hospital is a public hospital located in Yumbe District, in the Northern Region of Uganda. It is a government-funded medical facility that provides healthcare services to the residents of Yumbe District and surrounding areas.

The hospital is situated in the town of Yumbe, approximately 70 kilometers, by road, west of Arua, the largest city in Uganda's West Nile sub-region. The geographical coordinates of Yumbe General Hospital are: 3°28'12.0"N, 31°14'24.0"E.

Yumbe General Hospital is a district hospital, administered by the Uganda Ministry of Health. The hospital is classified as a General Hospital, by the health ministry. As a general hospital, it has a capacity of 100 beds, and provides comprehensive healthcare services including surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and internal medicine.

The hospital offers a range of services including Outpatient consultation, Inpatient care, surgical procedures, maternal and child health services, HIV/AIDS testing and treatment, malaria treatment, and immunization services. It also provides health education and promotion services to the community.
Challenges[edit | edit source]
Like many public hospitals in Uganda, Yumbe General Hospital faces several challenges including inadequate funding, shortage of medical supplies, and a high patient load. The hospital also struggles with a shortage of qualified medical personnel.
