AdventHealth is a non-profit health care system that operates facilities across nine states in the United States. Headquartered in Altamonte Springs, Florida, AdventHealth was established in 1973 and is the largest Protestant health care provider and one of the largest non-profit health care providers in the nation. It is associated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

AdventHealth was founded in 1973 by the Seventh-day Adventist Church as the Adventist Health System. The organization's mission is to "Extend the Healing Ministry of Christ," which is based on the church's holistic health care philosophy. In 2019, the Adventist Health System rebranded as AdventHealth to reflect its commitment to providing whole-person care.

Facilities[edit | edit source]

AdventHealth operates 50 hospitals and more than 1,200 care sites in nine states across the United States. These include Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Texas, Colorado, and Wisconsin. The system's flagship campus, AdventHealth Orlando, is one of the largest hospitals in the United States.

AdventHealth provides a wide range of health care services, including emergency care, primary care, specialty care, home care, hospice care, rehabilitation, and health and wellness. The organization is also a leader in medical research and medical education, with a particular focus on cardiology, cancer, women's health, pediatrics, and orthopedics.

Recognition[edit | edit source]

AdventHealth has received numerous awards and recognitions for its quality of care. It has been recognized by the U.S. News & World Report as one of the best hospitals in the country. In addition, several of its hospitals have received the Magnet Recognition Program for nursing excellence.
