Akhilesh Pandey
Akhilesh Pandey is an Indian-American biologist and geneticist known for his significant contributions to the field of proteomics and genomics. He is a professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the founder of the Institute of Bioinformatics in Bangalore, India.

Akhilesh Pandey was born in India. He completed his MBBS from the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, India. He then pursued a Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of Michigan in the United States.

After completing his Ph.D., Pandey joined the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as a faculty member. He has been involved in numerous research projects focusing on the identification and characterization of proteins and their functions in various biological processes.
Institute of Bioinformatics[edit | edit source]
In 2002, Akhilesh Pandey founded the Institute of Bioinformatics (IOB) in Bangalore, India. The institute aims to promote research in the field of bioinformatics and provide a platform for scientists to collaborate on various projects related to genomics and proteomics.
