Alam Channa

Alam Channa (1953 – 2 July 1998) was a Pakistani national known for his extraordinary height. Standing at 7 feet 7 inches (231 cm), Channa was once considered among the tallest people in the world during his lifetime. His height brought him both national and international fame, making him a notable figure in the realm of human anatomy and genetic disorders related to height.

Alam Channa was born in Sehwan, a historic town in the Sindh province of Pakistan. From an early age, he displayed signs of abnormal growth, which continued well into his adulthood. The cause of his remarkable height was attributed to a condition known as acromegaly, a hormonal disorder that results when the pituitary gland produces excess growth hormone.
