Alpro is a European company based in Belgium that produces organic and non-organic, non-genetically modified, plant-based products. Alpro was founded in 1980, as a subsidiary of the Vandemoortele GroupVandemoortele Group which is based in Belgium. Alpro expanded across Europe and in 2000 built a soy milk plant in Burton Latimer, England.

Alpro was established in 1980, as a subsidiary of the Vandemoortele Group which is based in Belgium. In the early years, Alpro focused on the production of soy milk and other plant-based products. In 2000, Alpro built a soy milk plant in Burton Latimer, England.

Products[edit | edit source]

Alpro's products include soy milk, almond milk, hazelnut milk, cashew milk, rice milk, oat milk, coconut milk, and yoghurt and cream substitutes like soy yoghurts, plant-based creams and plant-based ice creams. All products are made from either non-genetically modified, organic or non-organic plants.

Alpro has been a certified B Corporation since 2018. This certification is given to companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. Alpro is committed to maintaining the biodiversity of their sourcing regions and reducing their carbon footprint.
