Benjamin L. Ebert is a prominent American physician-scientist known for his groundbreaking research in the field of hematology and oncology, particularly in the study of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). He is a professor at Harvard Medical School and serves as the Chair of Medical Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Benjamin L. Ebert was born in the United States. He completed his undergraduate studies at Brown University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Ebert was a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford, where he obtained a D.Phil. in Molecular Biology. He then attended Harvard Medical School, where he received his M.D. degree.

Ebert completed his residency in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women's Hospital.
