Benjamin Movsas
Benjamin Movsas is a renowned radiation oncologist and a leading figure in the field of oncology. He is currently the Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan.
Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]
Movsas was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in biochemistry. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the Harvard Medical School. Following his graduation, he completed his residency in radiation oncology at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

Movsas has made significant contributions to the field of radiation oncology, particularly in the treatment of lung cancer and prostate cancer. He has been involved in numerous clinical trials and has published extensively in peer-reviewed medical journals. His research has focused on improving the quality of life for cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy.
In addition to his clinical and research work, Movsas is also an active member of several professional organizations. He has served as the president of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and is currently a member of the National Cancer Institute's Board of Scientific Counselors.
