Bo Perasol is a Filipino basketball coach and former professional player. He is currently the head coach of the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP).

Early Life and Playing Career[edit | edit source]

Perasol was born in Iloilo City, Philippines. He played collegiate basketball for the University of the Philippines (UP) from 1986 to 1990. After his collegiate career, he went on to play professionally in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

Coaching Career[edit | edit source]

Perasol began his coaching career as an assistant coach for the Purefoods Tender Juicy Giants in the PBA. He later became the head coach of the Air21 Express and the Powerade Tigers. In 2013, he was appointed as the head coach of the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles in the UAAP. He led the team to the Final Four in his first season. In 2016, he returned to his alma mater, UP, as the head coach of the Fighting Maroons.

Coaching Style and Philosophy[edit | edit source]

Perasol is known for his player-centric coaching style. He believes in the importance of building strong relationships with his players and fostering a positive team culture. He is also known for his strategic approach to the game, often employing a fast-paced, offensive style of play.

Personal Life[edit | edit source]

Perasol is married and has three children. He is a devout Catholic and credits his faith as a significant influence in his life and coaching career.
