Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC), also known as the Bristol Children's Hospital, is a pediatric hospital located in Bristol, United Kingdom. It provides comprehensive health services for children and young people from across the South West of England.

The Bristol Royal Hospital for Children was officially opened in 2001, replacing the old Bristol Royal Infirmary's children's wards. The hospital is part of the University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.

Facilities[edit | edit source]

The hospital has a range of facilities designed to make stays as comfortable as possible for both patients and their families. These include play areas, a school room, a teenage cancer trust unit, and a sensory space for children with additional needs.

Services[edit | edit source]

BRHC offers a wide range of specialist services, including cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, and neonatal intensive care. The hospital also houses the only paediatric intensive care unit in the South West region.

Research[edit | edit source]

The hospital is involved in a number of research projects, many of which are conducted in partnership with the University of Bristol. Research areas include child health, neonatology, and paediatric surgery.
