CARe Medical College

CARe Medical College is a private medical school located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was established in 2014 and is affiliated with the University of Dhaka. The college offers a five-year course of study, leading to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. A one-year internship after graduation is compulsory for all graduates. The degree is recognised by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council.

CARe Medical College was established in 2014 by the CARe Medical College Hospital Trust. The college was granted affiliation by the University of Dhaka in the same year. The college's academic activities started in 2015.

Campus[edit | edit source]

The college is located in Mohammadpur, Dhaka. The campus includes academic and hospital buildings. The academic building houses the preclinical and paraclinical departments, while the hospital building provides clinical teaching facilities.

Academics[edit | edit source]

The college offers a five-year course of study, leading to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Dhaka. After passing the final professional examination, there is a compulsory one-year rotatory internship. The internship includes rotations through internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, and paediatrics. After completion of the internship, students are eligible to register with the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council. The college also offers postgraduate studies in various disciplines.

Affiliation[edit | edit source]

CARe Medical College is affiliated with the University of Dhaka. The students receive their degrees from the University of Dhaka after successful completion of their MBBS course.
