Chelva
Chelva is a municipality located in the province of Valencia, in the Valencian Community, Spain. It is situated in the region of Los Serranos, which is known for its mountainous terrain and rich history.

Chelva has a long history, with archaeological evidence of human habitation dating back to the Neolithic period. The area was later inhabited by the Iberians, followed by the Romans, the Visigoths, the Moors, and finally the Christians during the Reconquista.
Geography[edit | edit source]
Chelva is located in the interior of the province of Valencia, in the region of Los Serranos. The municipality is characterized by its mountainous terrain, with the highest point being the Sierra de Chelva. The River Turia also flows through the municipality.
Economy[edit | edit source]
The economy of Chelva is primarily based on agriculture, with the main crops being olives, almonds, and grapes. There is also a significant livestock industry, particularly in sheep and goats.
Culture[edit | edit source]
Chelva has a rich cultural heritage, with numerous festivals and events held throughout the year. These include the Fiesta de San Antonio Abad, the Fiesta de San Juan, and the Fiesta de la Virgen del Remedio.
