Corn Pops

Corn Pops is a puffed grain breakfast cereal made by Kellogg's, described by the company as "crunchy sweetened popped-up corn cereal." Originally introduced in the United States in 1951, it is now marketed in several countries worldwide.

The cereal was introduced in 1951 as Corn Pops. In 1952, the name was changed to Sugar Pops. It was later renamed Sugar Corn Pops and then Corn Pops. A mascot, Sugar Pops Pete, was introduced in the 1950s. The name was changed to Corn Pops in 1984, a time when many cereals dropped the word "Sugar" from their titles for marketing reasons. In mid-2007, Corn Pops launched its first line extension in over five years called "Chocolate Peanut Butter Pops".

Ingredients[edit | edit source]

The main ingredients of Corn Pops are milled corn and sugar. Other ingredients include soluble corn fiber, molasses, salt, and a mix of vitamins and minerals.

Corn Pops is low in fat, but it is high in sugar. Each serving contains 120 calories, 0 grams of fat, 27 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of protein, and 12 grams of sugar.
