Donna Williams (born Donna Keene; 12 October 1963 – 22 April 2017) was an Australian writer, artist, singer, and autism advocate. She was diagnosed with autism in 1991 and became a prominent figure in the autism community through her books, music, and public speaking.

Donna Williams was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She had a challenging childhood, experiencing difficulties with communication and social interaction, which were later understood to be related to her autism. Despite these challenges, she developed a talent for writing and art from a young age.

Williams is best known for her autobiographical works, which provide insight into the life of a person with autism. Her first book, Nobody Nowhere, published in 1992, became an international bestseller and was followed by several other books, including Somebody Somewhere, Like Colour to the Blind, and Everyday Heaven. These works have been influential in raising awareness about autism and the experiences of those on the autism spectrum.
