Eleven is a number that is often used in various contexts in mathematics, science, and other fields. It is the natural number following ten and preceding twelve.

In mathematics, eleven is a prime number. It is the fifth smallest prime number, following two, three, five, and seven. It is also a safe prime, a Chen prime, an Eisenstein prime with no imaginary part, and a Sophie Germain prime.

Science[edit | edit source]

In science, the atomic number of sodium is eleven. The eleventh element in the periodic table is sodium, which is a soft, silvery-white, highly reactive metal. Sodium is an alkali metal, being in group 1 of the periodic table.

Sports[edit | edit source]

In sports, a football team consists of eleven players. In cricket, a team consists of eleven players. In American football, a team also consists of eleven players on the field at any given time.

Culture[edit | edit source]

In culture, the number eleven is considered to be a symbol of balance and equality. It is often associated with the idea of balance, harmony, and the balance between the physical and the spiritual world.
