Eliseo J. Pérez-Stable
Eliseo J. Pérez-Stable is a Cuban-American physician and researcher known for his work in health disparities and minority health. He is the Director of the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Pérez-Stable was born in Cuba and immigrated to the United States with his family. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Miami, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He then attended the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) for his medical training, earning his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree.

After completing his medical degree, Pérez-Stable joined the faculty at UCSF, where he focused on primary care and health disparities research. He became a prominent figure in the field of minority health, particularly in the context of Latino health.
