Androstanolone benzoate, also known as 5α-androstan-17β-ol-3-one 17β-benzoate, is a synthetic estrane steroid and a derivative of DHT. It is an ester of androstanolone with benzoic acid at the C17β position.

History[edit | edit source]

Androstanolone benzoate was first described in the scientific literature in 1961. It was developed for medical use by Roussel Uclaf in the 1960s.
