The Firestone family has a long history in agriculture, dating back to the early 20th century. Leonard Firestone, the son of tire magnate Harvey Firestone, had a passion for viticulture and winemaking. In 1972, he purchased a 400-acre property in the Santa Ynez Valley and planted the first vineyards.
