Fluadinazolam

Chemistry

Fluadinazolam is a triazolobenzodiazepine, which is a subclass of benzodiazepines. The benzyl ring of fluadinazolam is substituted at R8 with a fluorine atom.

Pharmacology

This means it enhances the effect of the neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) at the GABA_A receptor, resulting in sedative, hypnotic (sleep-inducing), anxiolytic (anti-anxiety), anticonvulsant, and muscle relaxant properties.

Effects

The effects of fluadinazolam are similar to other benzodiazepines, such as alprazolam (Xanax), diazepam (Valium), and clonazepam (Klonopin).
