HU-243
HU-243 is a synthetic cannabinoid that has been used in scientific research. It is a highly potent full agonist of the CB1 receptor, with a Ki of 0.06nM, making it around 25x more potent than THC.
Chemistry[edit | edit source]
HU-243 is part of a series of 1,1-dimethylheptyl tetrahydrocannabinols, which includes HU-210, HU-211, HU-239, HU-244, and HU-245. These compounds are all analogs of THC, with the 1,1-dimethylheptyl side chain increasing potency.
Pharmacology[edit | edit source]
HU-243, like other synthetic cannabinoids, acts as a full agonist at the CB1 receptor. This results in effects similar to those of THC, but with greater potency. The exact mechanisms of action of HU-243 are not fully understood, but it is thought to interact with the endocannabinoid system in a similar way to other cannabinoids.
Research[edit | edit source]
Research into HU-243 and other synthetic cannabinoids has focused on their potential therapeutic uses, as well as their effects on the brain and body. Studies have shown that HU-243 can have anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antiemetic effects, among others.
Legal Status[edit | edit source]
The legal status of HU-243 varies by country. In some places, it is classified as a controlled substance, while in others it is legal for research purposes.
