Iberogast
Iberogast is a herbal supplement widely used in Europe for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome and functional dyspepsia. The product is a liquid formulation of nine herbs, and it is named after one of its components, Iberis amara. The other eight herbs are: Angelica, Caraway, Chamomile, Celandine, Lemon balm, Licorice, Milk thistle, and Peppermint.

Iberogast is composed of the following nine herbs:
- Iberis amara: The whole plant is used. It has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antispasmodic, and tonic effects.
- Angelica: The root is used. It has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antispasmodic, and tonic effects.
- Caraway: The fruit is used. It has anti-spasmodic effects and aids digestion.
- Chamomile: The flower is used. It has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antispasmodic, and sedative effects.
- Celandine: The above-ground parts are used. It has spasmolytic and antibacterial effects.
- Lemon balm: The leaves are used. It has antispasmodic, sedative, and antibacterial effects.
- Licorice: The root is used. It has anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, and immune-stimulating effects.
- Milk thistle: The fruit is used. It has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and hepatoprotective effects.
- Peppermint: The leaves are used. It has antispasmodic and carminative effects.

Iberogast is used for the treatment of various gastrointestinal disorders, including irritable bowel syndrome and functional dyspepsia. It is also used for the treatment of stomach pain, bloating, heartburn, and nausea.
