Jennifer F. Tseng was born and raised in the United States. She pursued her undergraduate studies at Stanford University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then attended the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) for her medical degree, graduating with honors. Tseng completed her surgical residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by a fellowship in surgical oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
