Jerk seasoning
Jerk seasoning is a low carbohydrate / keto friendly food item.

Jerk Seasoning is a traditional Jamaican spice blend used predominantly for meat, especially chicken and pork. Its fiery taste comes from the Scotch bonnet pepper, balanced by a mix of spices and herbs. This keto-friendly version provides all the flavor without added sugars often found in commercial blends.
Ingredients[edit | edit source]
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp dried thyme
- 2 tsp dried parsley
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp sugar substitute (e.g., erythritol or stevia)
- 1 tsp allspice
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- (Optional) 1 dried Scotch bonnet pepper, finely ground

- In a bowl, combine all ingredients.
- Mix well until all spices and herbs are integrated.
- Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.
