Karl Sven Woytek Sas Konkovitch Matthew Kruszelnicki, often referred to as Dr. Karl, is an Australian science communicator and popularizer. Karl Kruszelnicki was born on 20 March 1948 in Helsingborg, Sweden. His family moved to Australia when he was young. He attended the University of New South Wales, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He later pursued a degree in medicine at the same university, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.
