Ketostix
Ketostix are dip stick urine test strips available without a prescription via many local pharmacies and online services such as Amazon.
Use in ketogenic diet[edit | edit source]
Ketostix can be used to monitor by collecting a small amount of urine in a cup, and then dipping one of the test strips in the urine for a few seconds, check the change in color to the side of the test strips bottle.
If there is no change in color or is negative for ketones, that means a person is not yet in the ketosis state on a ketogenic diet and they have to work on restricting the carbohydrates further down. These test strips can also be used to know whether a person is in ketosis from any medical problems also.
Cost[edit | edit source]
Average cost of ketostix on Amazon is $10
