Linda Rosenstock
Linda Rosenstock is an American physician, public health expert, and academic administrator. She is best known for her contributions to occupational and environmental health, as well as her leadership roles in various public health institutions.

Linda Rosenstock was born in New York City. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University and her Doctor of Medicine degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She also holds a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Early Career[edit | edit source]
Rosenstock began her career as a physician specializing in internal medicine. She later transitioned into the field of public health, focusing on occupational and environmental health. She has held various academic and administrative positions throughout her career.
National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)[edit | edit source]
From 1994 to 2000, Rosenstock served as the Director of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). During her tenure, she was instrumental in advancing research and policy initiatives aimed at improving workplace safety and health.
University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)[edit | edit source]
In 2000, Rosenstock was appointed Dean of the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Under her leadership, the school expanded its research programs and increased its focus on global health issues. She served as Dean until 2012.
Other Roles[edit | edit source]
Rosenstock has also served on numerous national and international committees and advisory boards, including the Institute of Medicine (now the National Academy of Medicine) and the World Health Organization.

Rosenstock has received numerous awards for her contributions to public health, including the William Steiger Memorial Award from the American Public Health Association and the Alice Hamilton Award from NIOSH.

Rosenstock is married and has two children. She continues to be active in the field of public health through her involvement in various organizations and initiatives.
