List of multiple sclerosis organizations

From WikiMD's Wellness Encyclopedia

Multiple sclerosis organizations are non-profit organizations and charities that provide support, education, advocacy, and research funding for multiple sclerosis (MS), a chronic, typically progressive disease involving damage to the sheaths of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. This list includes international, national, and regional organizations dedicated to improving the lives of people with MS.

International Organizations[edit | edit source]

  • World Health Organization (WHO): While not exclusively focused on MS, the WHO provides resources and guidelines for the treatment and management of MS.

National Organizations[edit | edit source]

  • National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS): Based in the United States, the NMSS funds research, advocates for social and political change, provides education, and sponsors services that help people with MS and their families.
  • Multiple Sclerosis Society UK: A community of people living with MS, scientists, campaigners, volunteers and fundraisers. They understand what life’s like with MS, and they support each other through the highs, lows and everything in between.
  • Multiple Sclerosis Australia: The national voice for people with MS, providing a framework for the delivery of a range of key services and support to people with MS across Australia.

Regional Organizations[edit | edit source]
