Lorediplon

Lorediplon is a nonbenzodiazepine hypnotic drug that is a pyrazolopyrimidine derivative. It was developed by Neurocrine Biosciences and was in clinical trials for the treatment of insomnia but was discontinued.

Lorediplon was developed by Neurocrine Biosciences, a San Diego-based biopharmaceutical company. The drug was in clinical trials for the treatment of insomnia, but development was discontinued.

Pharmacology[edit | edit source]

Lorediplon is a nonbenzodiazepine hypnotic drug. It is a pyrazolopyrimidine derivative, which is a class of drugs that also includes zaleplon and indiplon. These drugs work by binding to the GABA receptor in the brain, which has a sedative effect.

Clinical trials[edit | edit source]

Lorediplon was in clinical trials for the treatment of insomnia. However, the development of the drug was discontinued for unknown reasons.
