Mikhail Albertovich Murashko (Russian: Михаил Альбертович Мурашко
- born 9 January 1967) is a Russian physician and politician currently serving as the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation. He was appointed to the position on 21 January 2020.
Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]
Mikhail Murashko was born in Sverdlovsk, now known as Yekaterinburg, in the Russian SFSR, part of the Soviet Union. He graduated from the Ural State Medical University in 1992, specializing in obstetrics and gynecology.

Medical Career[edit | edit source]
After completing his education, Murashko worked in various medical institutions. He held several positions in the healthcare sector, including roles in clinical practice and healthcare administration. His work primarily focused on improving healthcare services and medical standards in Russia.
Political Career[edit | edit source]
Murashko's political career began when he was appointed as the head of the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare (Roszdravnadzor) in 2015. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing the quality and safety of medical services in Russia.
On 21 January 2020, Murashko was appointed as the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. As Minister of Health, he has been involved in managing the country's response to the COVID-19 pandemic and implementing healthcare reforms.
