Molecular Cancer Research is a peer-reviewed medical journal that publishes research articles in the field of cancer research. The journal is published by the American Association for Cancer Research and covers all areas of cancer research, including molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, biochemistry, and biophysics.

Molecular Cancer Research was established in 2002 and is published monthly. The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, and short communications. The focus of the journal is on molecular and cellular mechanisms of cancer, including the phosphorylation pathways, transcriptional regulation, cell cycle mechanisms, oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes, signal transduction, and drug discovery and delivery.

The journal is abstracted and indexed in PubMed, MEDLINE, Scopus, and the Science Citation Index. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2019 impact factor of 4.632.
