Nestlé Brands

Nestlé S.A. is a Swiss multinational food and drink processing conglomerate corporation headquartered in Vevey, Vaud, Switzerland. It is the largest food company in the world, measured by revenues and other metrics, since 2014. Nestlé's products include baby food, medical food, bottled water, breakfast cereals, coffee and tea, confectionery, dairy products, ice cream, frozen food, pet foods, and snacks. Twenty-nine of Nestlé's brands have annual sales of over CHF 1 billion (about US$1.1 billion), including Nespresso, Nescafé, Kit Kat, Smarties, Nesquik, Stouffer's, Vittel, and Maggi. Nestlé has 447 factories, operates in 189 countries, and employs around 339,000 people. It is one of the main shareholders of L'Oréal, the world's largest cosmetics company.

Nestlé owns over 2000 brands with a wide range of products across a number of markets, including coffee, bottled water, milkshakes and other beverages, breakfast cereals, infant foods, performance and healthcare nutrition, seasonings, soups and sauces, frozen and refrigerated foods, and pet food.

  • Nescafé - A brand of coffee made by Nestlé. It comes in many different forms.
  • Nespresso - A premium coffee brand that sells coffee machines and capsules.
  • Nestea - A brand of iced tea and cold tea beverages.

Confectionery and Snacks[edit | edit source]

  • Kit Kat - A chocolate-covered wafer bar confection created by Rowntree's of York, United Kingdom, and is now produced globally by Nestlé.
  • Smarties - Colour-varied sugar-coated chocolate confectionery.
  • Aero - A chocolate product originally introduced to the North of England as the "new chocolate" by Rowntree's in 1935.

  • Nido - A brand of powdered milk.
  • Carnation - A brand of milk products used in cooking and baking.

  • Stouffer's - A brand of frozen prepared foods available in the United States and Canada.

  • Vittel - A brand of bottled water.

Nestlé has been involved in various controversies, including the promotion of infant formula over breastfeeding in developing countries, the use of palm oil in its products, and its water bottling operations.
