Nick Ross
Nick Ross is a British television and radio presenter, best known for his work on the BBC's Crimewatch program. He has had a long and varied career in broadcasting, contributing to numerous programs and initiatives.

Nick Ross was born on August 7, 1947, in Hampstead, London. He attended Wallington County Grammar School and later studied at Queen's College, Oxford, where he read psychology and philosophy.

Ross began his broadcasting career in radio, working for the BBC World Service and BBC Radio 4. He gained recognition for his work on the radio program The World at One and later on The World Tonight.
Crimewatch[edit | edit source]
Nick Ross is perhaps best known for co-presenting the BBC's Crimewatch from its inception in 1984 until 2007. The program, which reconstructs major unsolved crimes in an effort to gather information from the public, became a significant part of his career. His catchphrase, "Don't have nightmares, do sleep well," became iconic.

In addition to Crimewatch, Ross has presented a variety of other programs, including Watchdog, Breakfast Time, and A Week in Politics. He has also been involved in numerous documentaries and public service campaigns.
Personal Life[edit | edit source]
Nick Ross is married to Sarah Caplin, a television producer and co-founder of the charity Silver Line. They have three children. Ross is known for his interest in public health and safety, and he has been involved in various initiatives related to these fields.

Ross has received several awards for his contributions to broadcasting and public service, including an OBE (Order of the British Empire) for his services to broadcasting and charity.
