Oman
Oman officially known as the Sultanate of Oman is an Arab country located on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula in Western Asia. Its official religion is Islam.

The history of Oman is divided into pre-Islamic and Islamic periods. The pre-Islamic period includes the Stone Age, Bronze Age, and Iron Age. The Islamic period began in the 7th century AD when the Rashidun Caliphate conquered Oman.
Geography[edit | edit source]
Oman is bordered by the United Arab Emirates to the northwest, Saudi Arabia to the west, and Yemen to the southwest. The coast is formed by the Arabian Sea on the southeast and the Gulf of Oman on the northeast.
Economy[edit | edit source]
The economy of Oman is largely dependent on oil exports. Other significant industries include agriculture, fishing, and tourism.
Culture[edit | edit source]
Omani culture is deeply rooted in the Islamic religion, which shapes Omanis' way of life. Omani cuisine is influenced by Asian and African cooking, with dishes built around chicken, lamb, and rice.
