Ortho Pharmaceutical is a pharmaceutical company that was established in the United States in 1931. It is a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, one of the largest and most diverse healthcare companies in the world. Ortho Pharmaceutical specializes in the development and marketing of a wide range of pharmaceutical products, primarily in the areas of women's health, urology, dermatology, and neuroscience.

Ortho Pharmaceutical was founded in 1931 as a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson. The company was initially focused on the production of plasters and bandages. However, it soon expanded its product range to include a variety of pharmaceutical products.
In the 1960s, Ortho Pharmaceutical became a pioneer in the field of women's health by introducing the first birth control pill in the United States. This was followed by the development of other innovative products, such as the first topical antibiotic and the first monophasic birth control pill.
