The Passatempo brand was launched in Brazil in 1950 by the Brazilian company Adria. The brand was later acquired by Nestlé in 2002. The name "Passatempo" translates to "pastime" in English, a nod to the brand's unique selling point: puzzles printed on the inside of the wrappers to entertain consumers as they enjoy the biscuits.
