Phi Zeta
Phi Zeta (ΦΖ) is the honor society of veterinary medicine in the United States. It was established to recognize and promote scholarship and research in matters pertaining to the welfare and health of animals.

Phi Zeta was founded on March 4, 1925, at Cornell University by a group of faculty members and students. The society was named after the Greek letters Φ (Phi) and Ζ (Zeta), which stand for "philosophy" and "zoon" (animal), respectively. The founders aimed to create an organization that would encourage high educational standards and scientific research in the field of veterinary medicine.
