History

Putrajaya Hospital (HPj) is situated on a 27.2-acre area in Precinct 7, Putrajaya. It was constructed in 1998 at a cost of RM283 million and began operations in stages on November 1, 2000. Initially, HPj had 278 beds, which increased to 341 beds in 2012 with the establishment of a Low Risk Maternity Center in Precinct 8. As of January 2018, the hospital officially operates with 369 beds.

Future Developments

The Malaysian government has awarded engineering firm George Kent (M) Berhad a RM364.9 million contract to complete an endocrine extension to Putrajaya Hospital. This extension will enhance the hospital's capabilities as a tertiary referral center for endocrine diseases, including diabetes and hormonal disorders.

Putrajaya Hospital is accredited by the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH), demonstrating its commitment to providing quality healthcare services.
