Randy Friese
Randy Friese is an American physician and politician who has served in the Arizona House of Representatives. He is a member of the Democratic Party.
Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]
Friese was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. He then attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
Medical Career[edit | edit source]
After completing his medical degree, Friese completed a residency in general surgery at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He further specialized in trauma surgery and critical care medicine through a fellowship at the University of Washington.
Friese has worked as a trauma surgeon and has held various academic positions, including serving as an associate professor of surgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine.
Political Career[edit | edit source]
Friese was first elected to the Arizona House of Representatives in 2014, representing the 9th legislative district. During his tenure, he has focused on issues such as healthcare, gun control, and education. He has been an advocate for expanding Medicaid and improving access to healthcare services in Arizona.

Friese has been involved in several key pieces of legislation, including efforts to improve gun safety laws and to increase funding for public education. He has also worked on legislation aimed at addressing the opioid crisis in Arizona.
