The Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital was opened in 2004. It was named after Richard M. Ross, a prominent philanthropist and supporter of The Ohio State University. The hospital was designed to provide advanced, patient-centered care for heart disease and vascular disease patients.

The hospital has 150 beds, including 44 intensive care beds. It also has six operating rooms and six catheterization labs. The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for diagnosing and treating heart and vascular diseases.
