Robyn Rihanna Fenty (born February 20, 1988) is a Barbadian singer, actress, and businesswoman. She is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with over 250 million records sold worldwide. Rihanna is known for her distinctive voice, versatile musical style, and influential presence in the fashion and beauty industries.

Rihanna was born in Saint Michael, Barbados, and raised in Bridgetown. She began her music career by recording demo tapes under the direction of record producer Evan Rogers. She was later signed to Def Jam Recordings after auditioning for its then-president, Jay-Z.
