The Sazerac Company is a privately held American alcoholic beverage company headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana. With roots dating back to the 1800s, it is one of the oldest family-operated distilleries in the United States.

The Sazerac Company was established in 1869 by Thomas H. Handy after he purchased the Sazerac Coffee House in New Orleans. The coffee house was known for its signature cocktail, the Sazerac, which eventually became the company's namesake. Over the years, the company expanded its portfolio to include a variety of spirits, including whiskey, vodka, gin, tequila, and rum.

Peychaud's Bitters is a key ingredient in the original Sazerac cocktail. It was created in the early 19th century by Antoine Amédée Peychaud, a Creole apothecary from the French colony of Saint-Domingue.
