List of whisky brands refers to the various brands of whisky available globally. Whisky, also spelled whiskey in certain countries, is a type of distilled alcoholic beverage made from fermented grain mash. The grains used can include barley, corn, rye, and wheat. The production process and aging give each whisky its unique flavor and character.

Scotch Whisky[edit | edit source]

Scotch whisky, often simply called Scotch, is malt whisky or grain whisky made in Scotland. Scotch whisky must be made in a manner specified by law.

Single Malt Scotch[edit | edit source]

  • Glenfiddich: Glenfiddich is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky owned and produced by William Grant & Sons in Dufftown, Scotland.
  • Macallan: The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray.

Blended Scotch Whisky[edit | edit source]

  • Johnnie Walker: Johnnie Walker is a brand of Scotch whisky now owned by Diageo that originated in the Scottish town of Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire.
  • Chivas Regal: Chivas Regal is a blended Scotch whisky produced by Chivas Brothers, which is part of Pernod Ricard.

American whiskey is a distilled beverage produced in the United States from a fermented mash of cereal grain.

Bourbon[edit | edit source]

  • Jim Beam: Jim Beam is a brand of bourbon whiskey produced in Clermont, Kentucky.
  • Maker's Mark: Maker's Mark is a small-batch bourbon whiskey produced in Loretto, Kentucky.

Rye Whiskey[edit | edit source]

  • Jameson Irish Whiskey: Jameson is a blended Irish whiskey produced by the Irish Distillers subsidiary of Pernod Ricard.
  • Bushmills: Bushmills is a brand of Irish whiskey produced by Old Bushmills Distillery, County Antrim, Northern Ireland.

Japanese Whisky[edit | edit source]

Japanese whisky is a style of whisky developed and produced in Japan.

  • Yamazaki: Yamazaki is Japan's first and oldest malt whisky distillery, established in 1923 by Suntory's founder Shinjiro Torii.
  • Hibiki: Hibiki is a premium blended whisky brand produced by the Japanese whisky company Suntory.
