Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) is a public university located in Guwahati, Assam, India. Established in 2009, it is the only health sciences university in the state of Assam. The university is named after the great Vaishnavite saint and scholar Srimanta Sankaradeva.

The university was established by the Government of Assam under the Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences Act, 2007. It was created to bring all the medical colleges and health science institutions in Assam under one umbrella to ensure uniformity in the curriculum and examinations.
Academics[edit | edit source]
SSUHS offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various fields of health sciences, including medicine, nursing, dental sciences, pharmacy, and allied health sciences. The university is responsible for conducting examinations and awarding degrees to students in these disciplines.
