Telugu Americans are Americans who are of Telugu descent. The Telugu people originate from the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions in India. Telugu is a Dravidian language and is one of the most spoken languages in India.

The migration of Telugu people to the United States began in the late 20th century, primarily driven by educational and professional opportunities. The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 played a significant role in facilitating this migration by removing national origin quotas.
Demographics[edit | edit source]
