The Tribune is a prominent English-language daily newspaper published in India. Founded in 1881, it is one of the oldest newspapers in the country and has played a significant role in the dissemination of news and information in the northern regions of India. The newspaper is owned by The Tribune Trust, a non-profit organization, and is headquartered in Chandigarh.

The Tribune was founded by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a philanthropist and visionary, in Lahore, which was then part of British India. The first edition was published on February 2, 1881. The newspaper was established with the aim of promoting the interests of the people of the Punjab region and advocating for social reforms.
After the Partition of India in 1947, The Tribune relocated its headquarters to Chandigarh, the newly constructed capital of Punjab. Over the years, it has expanded its reach and influence, becoming a leading source of news in northern India.
