Thomas Carl Hartmann (born May 7, 1951) is an American radio host, author, and progressive political commentator. He is the host of The Thom Hartmann Program, a nationally syndicated talk radio show, and has written numerous books on politics, economics, and psychology.

Hartmann was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He attended Michigan State University and later studied at Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont.
