Tonazocine

Tonazocine is a benzomorphan derivative. It is a kappa opioid receptor agonist.

Tonazocine was invented in the 1960s by the pharmaceutical company Janssen Pharmaceutica.

Tonazocine is a potent analgesic drug, which has a high affinity for the kappa opioid receptor. It has been used in the treatment of moderate to severe pain.

Tonazocine is a benzomorphan derivative, which is a class of opioids that are structurally distinct from the opioids derived from opium poppy, such as morphine and codeine. Benzomorphans are synthetic opioids.

Tonazocine was developed in the 1960s by the pharmaceutical company Janssen Pharmaceutica. It was one of the first kappa opioid receptor agonists to be discovered.
