Torgiano

Torgiano is a comune and town in the Province of Perugia, located in the Umbria region of central Italy. Renowned for its fine wines, Torgiano is a member of the Italy's Wine Cities and is the location of the Wine Museum (Museo del Vino).

Torgiano's history dates back to the Middle Ages, when it was a fortified village under the control of Perugia. The town was a strategic point in the defense system of Perugia, due to its location at the confluence of the Chiascio and Tiber rivers.
